Youval Friedman

Youval Friedman has spent the last 15 years writing comedy for television and cinema as well as script editing.

 

As scriptwriter of five comedy series for adults and children, Friedman has positioned himself in the Israeli comedy milieu.

 

He is the showrunner and head writer for the comedy series Zanzuri written for Israeli satellite's Comedy Chanel. A US pilot remake of Zanzuri called I'm not dead yet was produced by Dan Silverman's Electus for TV Land and written by Frasier's scriptwriter Jon Sherman.

 

Beitar Provence a high claimed comedy-drama feature film, written by Friedman, won three Israeli academy awards and participated in festivals all over the world.

 

Friedman was also a writer in several central comedy shows on Israeli television such as "Eretz Nehederet", "Yatspan" and "The Jews are coming".

 

Recently, Friedman was the co-writer of the viral video, with over half a million views, So Now What? featuring the former president Shimon Peres.

 

Friedman is married and a father of four.
