Noa Tishby

Noa Tishby | Actor, Producer and Writer

Born and raised in Tel Aviv, Israel, actress, producer, writer and political activist Noa Tishby got her start in the Israeli entertainment industry as a teen in the original musical David. She received a drama scholarship from the Israeli Museum of Arts and went on to appear in Israel’s leading TV shows, films and stage productions, becoming a household name in her home country. As a producer, Tishby was the first to identify the potential for Israeli television shows to succeed in the U.S. market.  She was the first to sell an Israeli format to a U.S. network, co-producing the 12 Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated, and Peabody Award-winning In Treatment alongside Mark Wahlberg for HBO. Tishby was also the first to bring a U.S. production to film in Israel with a game show pilot for CBS alongside Reshet Network and ITV International. Her US credits include The Island, The Ghost of Girlfriends Past, Big Love and CSI. She serves as the international face of Israeli fashion and jewelry designer Michal Negrin.

Tishby is currently filming the USA Network show DIG.

Politically passionate, in 2010 Tishby founded the pro-Israel online advocacy organization Act For Israel and became a powerful voice for Israel and the Middle East. She is a contributor to publications such as The Jewish Journal, The Huffington Post and Ynet, was recognized as one of the 50 Most Powerful Jews in the World and was on Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Power list of international executives.

Tishby served in the Israeli army for two and a half years and can, if needed and if pushed to do it, wield any weapon like she means it, though she chooses not to do that so much these days. (Just testing to see if anyone is still reading this Megillah).

Noa divides her time between Los Angeles and Tel Aviv.
