Nick Martin

Nick has worked in television comedy for more than twenty years, fulfilling various roles: writer, producer, script consultant etc. Throughout his career he has been fortunate enough to collaborate with the cream of UK talent: comedians, actors, writers, producers and commissioners. Nick has worked for all the major channels and many of the leading UK production companies in the field, always striving to combine a life-long interest in politics and current affairs with a desire to seek out the comedy in – and highlight the absurdities of – every aspect of modern life. 

 

Back in 1994, Nick began a long-standing and on-going association with the BBC’s award-winning, ratings-topping satirical panel-show Have I Got News For You. Currently in its 25th year, HIGNFY has proved to be a remarkably successful, influential and robust format. His proudest moment was when David Cameron told him: ‘I don’t really like your programme – I find it all a bit juvenile’.
