Kristeen von Hagen | Comedian

Kristeen von Hagen has been hailed as one of the Top 30 Power Women in Canada by Elle Magazine alongside such entertainers as Avril Lavigne, Sarah Polley, and Wrestling Diva Trish Stratus.

Kristeen won the 2012 Best Female Comic at the Canadian Comedy Awards.

She has taped three Just for Laughs Galas in Montreal and just taped a Gala at the 2013 Winnipeg Comedy Festival. Kristeen appeared on the SHOWTIME stand-up comedy show, Comedy Without Borders, and has also been seen on Premium Blend on Comedy Central.

Kristeen taped her second highly-rated Comedy NOW! special for CTV and The Comedy Network, and is a regular on The Debaters on CBC Radio.

Kristeen was part of a successful cross-Canada theatre tour with Debra DiGiovanni and Laurie Elliott called Girls Night Out, and has recently been opening for Russell Peters in Canada and the US. She has also toured Canada with Puppetry of the Penis; not as the main attraction, of course, but she was a fantastic fluffer. She continues to headline Yuk Yuk's clubs across Canada.

Kristeen was the head writer on the CBC show Test the Nation and she wrote on the 2014 Canadian Screen Awards hosted by Martin Short. Other writing credits include the 2009, 2010 and 2011 Canada's Walk of Fame, the 2008, 2009, 2013 and 2014 Juno Awards and the 2011 Gemini Awards. She was a writer on highly-rated Russell Peter's Christmas Special, and Kristeen has also written for The Toronto Show, Train 48 and CBC's, This Hour Has 22 Minutes.

She has won four Canadian Comedy Awards: Best Female Stand-up, Best Comedic Play and Best writing for a TV special.
